According to those who live nearby, this is a tomb of Princess Zeb-un-Nissa, daughter of Mughal emperor \u201cAurangzeb\u201d (known as Alamgeer).<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/picasaweb.google.com\/lh\/photo\/wHsStDNn9icgW5lngUwFTe7HCzQ5p7SdBDHDFfJb5ao?feat=directlink\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-1575 size-full aligncenter\" title=\"Screen shot 2010-12-18 at 7.16.43 PM\" src=\"https:\/\/AasimNaseem.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/12\/screen-shot-2010-12-18-at-7-16-43-pm.png\" alt=\"\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Is this myth or true history that was doubtful? I searched over the internet, read Mughal history, and used Google Maps to see if someone marked that tomb as related to some personality, but all in vain. A few lines replicated by many (from local writers) tell us that this is the tomb of Princess Zeb-un-Nisa, but there is no other historical evidence one can find.<\/p>\n<p>My saunterer soul led me to the Department of Information<em>\u00a0Culture<\/em> and\u00a0<em>Tourism &amp; Resort Development<\/em> Department of the Government of Punjab to see their records; I went to the history department at the University of Punjab. Everywhere it is marked as the mausoleum of Princess Zeb-un-Nisa.<!--more--><\/p>\n<p>From some other sources, like Wikipedia and Annemarie Schimmel (in his book The Empire of the Great Mughals: History, Art, and Culture), we found that the tomb of Princess Zeb-un-Nisa, daughter of Alamgeer, was build in Delhi. The place was known as the garden of &#8220;thirty thousand trees.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>location of tomb in Lahore Pakistan;<em>Zeb-un-Nissa died in 1701 in\u00a0<a title=\"Shahjahanabad\" href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Shahjahanabad\">Shahjahanabad<\/a> (old\u00a0<a title=\"Delhi\" href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Delhi\">Delhi<\/a>), while Aurangzeb was on a trip to <a title=\"Deccan\" href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Deccan\">Deccan<\/a>. Her tomb was in the garden of &#8220;Thirty Thousand Trees,&#8221; outside of the Kabuli Gate. But when the railway line was laid out at <a title=\"Delhi\" href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Delhi\">Delhi<\/a>, her tomb was shifted to\u00a0<a title=\"Akbar\" href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Akbar\">Akbar<\/a>&#8216;s mausoleum at Sikandara,\u00a0<a title=\"Agra\" href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Agra\">Agra<\/a>.<br \/>\n&#8211; Wikipedia <\/em><\/p>\n<p>You can read about her at Wikipedia (http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Zeb-un-Nisa); She was a poet, famous for her taste for art &amp; craft and her love for nature &amp; parks.
